Getting Started

How does LockTF work? LockTF uses Apple's Screen Time API to block distracting apps and websites at the system level. Choose the apps you want to block, tap Lock In, and stay focused. When you try to open a blocked app, you'll see your custom motivational lock screen instead.

How do I set up LockTF?

1. Open LockTF and complete the onboarding
2. Grant Screen Time permission when prompted
3. Select the apps and websites you want to block
4. Tap the Lock In button on the home screen

Why does LockTF need Screen Time access? Screen Time access is required for LockTF to block apps at the system level. Without it, the app cannot function. This permission is managed entirely by Apple — we never see or collect your Screen Time data.

App Blocking

Can I change which apps are blocked? Yes. Go to the home screen, tap "Manage Apps," and update your selection at any time.

I locked in but I can still open some apps. Why? Certain system apps (Phone, Settings, etc.) cannot be blocked by any third-party app. This is an Apple restriction and applies to all apps that use the Screen Time API.

How do I end a Lock In session? Go to the Limits screen and tap "End Lock In."
